Marla Laskowski is new this year to Briercrest, but has been coaching the sport of softball in Saskatchewan for 25 years and multiple ages and levels.
She also has worked as a clinician and skills instructor and evaluator for softball Saskatchewan for the last 28 years.
She started playing softball at a very young age and fell in love with the sport. Some of the highlights of her career were:
Member of the 1989 Jeux Canada Games Women’s Softball Team
Numerous National championships at the midget and women’s levels
Silver Medal at the Junior Women’s National Championship in Moncton, New Brunswick where she was awarded All-star Catcher
As a coach, she has coached at numerous Provincial and National championships.
Assistant Coach for the 2009 Canada Summer Games in PEI
Assistant Coach for the 2015 Western Canada Games in Wood Buffalo, AB
High Performance Coach with Softball Saskatchewan – 3 years
Club coach for Twin City Angels Organization and the Warman Panthers Organization – 8 years
When not coaching or instructing softball, Marla is busy teaching (half-time) Home Economics at Waldheim High School and spending time with her husband and 4 children.
