Briercrest College and Seminary has a rich athletic history that extends beyond participating in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). Prior to joining the ACAC in 1996 Briercrest competed in the Prairie Athletic Conference (PAC), in sports such as basketball, hockey, soccer and volleyball. Briercrest Athletics has a committment to providing recreation and athletic opportunities to as many students as possible. One of these ways is through Briercrest junior varsity sport teams. These junior varsity teams provide additional competitive athletic opportunities to Briercrest students. Briercrest students participate on junior varsity teams for a variety of reasons.
Briercrest junior varsity teams have participated in PAC intermittently since joining the ACAC, but will be re-entering PAC in a full capacity again starting in the fall 2016. They will be competing in basketball, outdoor soccer and volleyball.
The JV men's volleyball team will be coached in their inaugural season by Head Coach Carter Reimer. Coach Reimer has begun recruiting, please contact him if you are interested or know of someone who might be a good fit for the program. Being a Briercrest junior varsity student-athlete involves more than just playing your sport and going to school. Briercrest Athletics wants to make sure that every athlete who comes through this program has the skills and tools necessary to exhibit the truth of God's Word through their lives in everything they do.
